Ingredients
- 5 jalapeños, cut in half and deseeded
- 4 oz Athenos Whipped Feta
- 4 oz grated mozzarella cheese
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 egg, whisked
- Googly eyes (optional for decoration)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a small bowl, mix together Athenos whipped feta, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, and salt until smooth.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, smoothing the tops without overfilling.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and cut it into thin ¼-inch strips. Wrap each jalapeño half with a strip of dough, leaving space at the top for the googly eyes.
- Place the wrapped jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they have space between them.
- Brush the dough with the whisked egg.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
- After baking, place two googly eyes in the top part of the dough to complete the mummy look.
